A growing business based in North Yorkshire is looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager. The role will support the generation of high end analysis that will drive decision making, help to identify new opportunities and deliver results on key projects and initiatives. As Commercial Finance Manager this role will be responsible for:
- Developing and overseeing the management of complex financial and operational budgets
- Building complex financial models
- Being a key support to the Financial Planning and Analysis team
- Providing insightful management reporting and monthly reporting packs for board and investors
Whilst this role will co-ordinate the forecast and budget process across the region it will also undertake adhoc projects for the wider business. The commercial Finance Manager will report directly into the Finance Director and prepare analysis of key market trends, undertake statistical modelling and cost benefit analyses to drive appropriate business strategies and support future acquisitions through due diligence investigation.
This role is seeking to attract a individual from a commercial background with experience either from a planning background or with financial modelling. Essentially because of the level of role and reporting directly into the Finance Director and influencing high level stakeholders this role is targeting a qualified ACA/ACMA/ACCA accountant. It is desired that the incumbent have a strong financial acumen including a high degree of analytical skill and sound knowledge of business procedures. Advanced spread sheeting skills and excel would be a distinct advantage as would the ability to build relationships across the business including operational managers.
