Finance Business Partner

 

Fantastic opportunity to work for an entrepreneurial FTSE property developer with a significant pipeline of large projects.

This is a unique business partnering role which will assist both the Development and Finance Directors and will include viability appraisals, group benchmark reporting and review, management information, pre-planning land and development budgeting and monitoring of spend, sales analysis and other ad hoc items.

This role will work with multiple departments and across all business regions and gives the individual unique insight into the operations of the combined business.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Directors in performing and assessing Viability appraisals for schemes across the businesses.
  • Support the Directors in assessing affordable offers, and getting registered providers into contract.
  • Running sensitivity analysis on viability appraisals.
  • Benchmarking
  • Challenging the business on their cost reporting submission
  • Presentation of consolidation cost reviews to group FD’s
  • Monitoring of all pre planning budgets and spend.
  • Support development Directors in preparation of multiphase stacks on major schemes.
  • Review and maintain system cashflows for pre-development schemes acting as link between finance and development team to ensure cashflows are accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting with the preparation and completion of the month end board schedules when required

Person Specification

  • Qualified accountant
  • Motivated individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good organisational skills
  • Highly IT literate, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate Word skills
  • Advantage if experience with valuations model
  • Professional approach and high level of discretion.
  • Team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range of tasks
  • Keen to progress and make a difference
  • Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions.
  • Ability to forward think and plan ahead
  • Understand the needs of the business and plan ahead accordingly
  • Able to deal with multiple tasks in restricted time constraints
