Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will support all day to day accounting activities including handling the purchase and sales invoicing processes through to payment and collection for approximately 9 -12 months maternity leave.
More specifically you will be responsible for the following:
- Sales Invoicing including checking paperwork from the sales team through credit checking, signing off, raising invoices and posting to Sage
- Meet weekly with all divisional administrators to monitor job status’ and invoice requirements as the projects progress and reach completion
- Raising monthly statements, run off the Aged Analysis, invoice chasing and collections via phone, email and letter
- Processing received payments via cheque, BACS, CHAPS, or Credit card.
- Cash allocation on Sage and daily banking
- Manage purchase ledger processing function and allocation of workload between Finance Assistant and Accounts Administrator including: reconciliation of delivery notes with invoices and processing through to payments on supplier account
- Monthly reconciling of employee expenses on Credit Card
We are looking for a person with a proven skill set in an accounting role, ideally with a degree or studying towards the AAT qualification. Knowledge of Sage or a project based work environment would also be helpful. You will have a flexible work approach, be able to react quickly to changes and multitask under pressure. You will possess confident interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
