Finance Officer (Treasury)
Salary: From £20,897 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed-term - 6 months Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: West Didsbury

About the role:
As a Finance Officer (Treasury), you will provide administrative support to the Treasury Accountant and Director of Finance on the full revaluation of properties secured against the Bond facilities. You will also support the Treasury Finance team in all banking and investment activities, cash analysis and reporting.
This role is vital to the business, helping to ensure that Great Places Housing Group has financial resource available to support its activities.
This role will require you to set up Treasury payments via the online banking system for authorisation by managers. Following established procedures, you will set up regular interest payments as per demands from lenders and add interest payable to a schedule, carry out regular reviews to ensure that it matches budget and is correctly linked to the interest payable cash flow forecast.
In addition to this you will produce weekly short term cash forecasting per procedure, liaising with the Treasury Accountant and other internal contacts.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be confident in organising data and information in order to produce accurate work and present it in easy to understand formats . You will need to have MS Excel skills and experience of working to tight deadlines. This role also requires strong communication skills when speaking to, and emailing, internal and external customers and contacts.
Ideally, you will have worked in a finance team (or similar) where you will have had experience of banking administration, cash analysis and forecasting. You may also have working knowledge of “Open Accounts” accounting system, with book-keeping or basic accounting and finance experience.
If you have experience in a social housing sector it would be beneficial to the role.
