Financial Accountant- Gloucester - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum-Global Organisation -Hays Accountancy & Finance


Hays Accountancy & Finance are being retained to recruit for a driven and ambitious Financial Accountant for a leading and well-established Global Manufacturing business. Based in Gloucester on a permanent basis, this is a great opportunity in an organisation that supports professional development with accounting processes and procedures within the wider business and on an international basis.

Your key duties will include preparation of timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the US GAAP and Swiss GAAP accounts, including reconciliations and tax accounting. You will perform and support monthly closing activities, projects around continuous improvement and supporting the wider finance function. Accounts analysis including balance sheet, income statements and reporting to Global or Regional hubs.

For this hands-on and fast-paced Financial Accountant you will have experience within a similar accounts role, and be a self-starter with a dynamic/driven working approach. It is key that you have the ability to focus on detail and accuracy as well as understanding the effect on the wider business. Key communication skills are essential so you can explain complex technical accounting to non-accounting customers. Ideally you will be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA working towards full qualification with previous experience within the manufacturing sector. Candidates who are seeking there 1st move out of practise will also be considered for this role. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of Swiss statutory accounting rules and can speak European languages (French or German).
