Credit Control Manager - Permanent - up to £70,000 - Thames Valley

My client is a long-established, highly profitable and globally recognised brand headquartered near Reading. They are currently seeking a high calibre, talented, MCICM-qualified Credit Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will oversee the European Credit Control Function and be responsible for a team of five International collections staff. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional people management and coaching skills and have a strong track record in operational and strategic level Credit Management.

You will be required to build long-standing relationships both internally within the business and with external and cross-border stakeholders.

The Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the Credit Control & Credit Risk processes for Order to Cash (O2C) cycle
  • Produce complex periodic reports using SAP and Excel for European, B2B Sales Ledger
  • Oversee review and if necessary, recommend updates to the credit policy
  • Ensure continuous and accurate evaluation of increased credit proposal and schedules
  • Managing the timely collection of all debts in accordance with agreed Credit/Payment terms
  • Deal with escalated billing queries or disputes
  • Ensure that cash Management processes are completed in a timely manner
  • Produce month-end reports on a timely basis with commentary
  • Monitor and drive Key Performance Indicators and
  • Staff development. Hosting quarterly reviews and setting goals

The Candidate:

  • A graduate, MCICM qualified Credit Manager with +5 years experience in managing and motivating a diverse team of European collections staff
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership and influencing skills
  • A track record of adding real operational and strategic business value
  • A contagious enthusiasm for continuous improvement and consistently delivering the highest levels of performance
  • Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with a diverse portfolio of debtors
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • SAP experience (including FSCM) and Advanced Excel
  • Fluency in a European language is desirable
