SF Group are exclusively recruiting for a £15m manufacturing group who are looking for an experienced, preferably qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) Senior Management Accountant with sole responsibility for two of it's subsidiaries. One subsidiary is involved in processing, whilst the other purchases the key raw material and acts as the sales and marketing business. The businesses are successful and growing steadily.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in all of the following areas and will have an organised and methodical approach. Accuracy and an eye for detail are vital qualities, together with a drive to solve problems and improve performance.
- Preparing timely and reliable monthly management accounts
- Preparing weekly management information on sales and production KPIs
- Analyse and identify causes of any significant variances compared with budget
- Partner both sales and production management, providing them with financial data
- Ensure transaction are recorded accurately in the financial software
- Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements and balances with other group companies
- Maintain records of fixed assets and hire purchase agreements; evaluate the periodic stock counts; determine month end accruals and prepayments
- Prepare draft accounts (lead schedules) for the annual audit
- Take ownership of the annual budgeting model (Excel)
- Maintaining sales ledger function including reviewing sales orders, sourcing POD’s, raising and distributing sales invoices, credit control, cash allocation, dealing with customer queries and monthly sales reconciliations and KPI reporting
- Preparing and invoicing monthly intercompany recharges
- Maintaining purchase ledger function including reviewing purchase orders, matching orders with GRN’s, inputting supplier invoices and ensuring the correct authorisation is obtained, reviewing payment runs and dealing with supplier queries
- One direct report
Experience in Navision would be beneficial but is not vital. However, the chosen candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel
The role will involve working at both the group head office in North Nottingham and the processing facility near Mansfield. Both offices are in rural locations.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £40,000 dependent on experience. Due to timescales involved, you must be available to commence employment at short notice and the position is offered on an interim basis, with a permanent offer at the end of a successful probationary period.
