Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a large PLC business with global operations and well-renowned brand. The role of Accountant will be based at one of their locations in Sheffield.
The purpose of the role will be to assist the Senior Accountant and to support the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and robust internal controls.
Duties will include:-
-Preparation of timely and accurate monthly reporting/ Management Accounting pack for one of the divisions
- Supporting the development and preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Providing variance analysis
- Monitoring KPI's
-Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals
-Gross Margin Calculation
-Revenue verification
-Fixed assets
-Balancing of control accounts and trial balance review
-To highlight and question any unexpected variances
To be successful for this role you MUST have the following skills and attributes:-
- ACA/ ACCA or CIMA Qualified
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Good technical accounting skills
- Strong user of IT and good knowledge of accounting packages
- Ability to work to (and achieve) tight deadlines
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Have the drive and ability to solve problems
- Be systematic, accurate, consistent and able to adapt
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel
- Effective communication skills
