A market leading FTSE 100 Client is recruiting a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for a newly created business unit based in West London. In this high profile role you will take ownership for financial reporting processes, driving through improvements and ensuring that all reporting provides maximum value through strong financial support, analysis and commercial challenge for all decision making. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director and managing a small team, key responsibilities will include:
- Providing financial and commercial analysis and information to support operational business decision making and provide challenge and debate
- Analysing new and existing business initiatives, challenging assumptions and highlighting any risks and opportunities to improve business performance
- Owning the budgeting and forecasting processes - developing new reports and models as appropriate
- Identifying and implementing improvements to support the delivery of insightful and value-add analysis of results, to deliver 'best in class' reporting
- Supporting the provision of information for results announcements, including half year and annual results as well as interim management statements
- Building the mid to long term financial plans for the business unit together with creating and tracking through appropriate KPI's
- Ad hoc projects
The successful candidate will be a 'hands on', qualified accountant with a strong understanding of FP&A reporting processes coupled with in-depth analytical skills, ideally within a fast paced environment. With high levels of intellectual horsepower, you will easily build cross-functional relationships and have demonstrable experience of forecasting, planning and analysis across a complex organisation.
A confident and pro-active self-starter, you will be comfortable contributing to high-level strategic decision making whilst being able to 'roll up your sleeves' and get into the detail. You will have the credibility and gravitas to challenge current thinking and influence in a positive and constructive manner both inside and outside of finance. With clear enthusiasm, drive and proactivity, you will thrive in a change-oriented environment.
Excellent progression opportunities exist for the successful candidate.
