Interim Assistant Finance Business Partner

Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for an Interim Assistant Finance Business Partner. Our client is a government department (T.O circa £160mill) based in London who have an exciting newly created opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their team, as they embark through an exciting period of change. This is a 3-6 month role with a strong possibility of extension and is a pivotal role in assisting the Finance Business Partners and the Information Management Division in driving through the organisations new IT strategy.

This role accountable to the Head of Finance, with a key responsibility of assisting to produce monthly management accounts for the directorate as well as the following duties:

*Preparing financial reports for the senior directors or meetings highlighting any potential concerns or risks they it may have.
*Ensure income and expenditure accounts accurately reflect the position of each IT project that is assigned to you.
*Preparing project expenditure plans, ensuring the crucial data is recorded and the appropriate work is carried out.
*Being able to check the coding and allocation of cost is in place for when any requisitions, receipt of services/goods and tracking payment whilst keeping the system fully up to date.

The successful candidate will be at least a part qualified accountant and must have experience of working in a Finance/IT business partnering role. Strong analysis skills and the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner with stakeholders at director levels is required. In addition to this, it would be beneficial to have previous exposure operating in an IT/PMO function and ideally exposure to project accounting. You must be confident with systems and advanced excel skills. Candidates from all sectors are highly welcomed to apply.
