Financial Accounting Manager

Hudson is delighted to be working with a Fortune 500 International Group with extensive network of business operations across the globe. The business operates in many of the major cities across the world and the CFO in London is now hiring an important role to support the financial reporting of one of the key subsidiaries.

As a Financial Accounting Manager you have a good technical grounding in statutory accounting with exposure to taxation reporting in multi-jurisdictions.

As the Financial Accounting Manager you plan, coordinate and execute the month-end closing activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Group Accounting Policies & Procedures (GAPP) with strict adherence to group timelines and format of reporting.

Preparation of full sets of Financial Statements at month-end, supported by relevant reporting schedules, including but not limited to the items below: Perform analysis on financial numbers such as variance analysis (month on month, vs. same period last year, vs. budget/ anticipated numbers), ratio analysis, benchmarking and trending.

Prepare submissions of tax (VAT, Corporate Tax, PAYE, NI, etc.), from the point of data gathering, analysis, computation, preparation of forms and documents, processing for payments/ refunds and to follow up or resolve matters with HMRC.

• To familiarize with dynamic trading and marketing business environment.
• To keep abreast with the latest development in International Financial Reporting Standards and their impacts to business reporting.
• To keep abreast with the latest development in taxation and impact to the subsidiary, so as to ensure full compliance at all times.
• To constantly improve the analytical and business reporting skills in assessing the company's performance to ensure quality information for decision making.
• To handle ever-changing organization dynamics (change in people, additional products, change in organisational structure, new joint marketing arrangements, new business arrangements).
• To promote excellent compliance and governance within the organization.
