A global, family owned business who are true leaders in their field. Our client offers an exciting opportunity to work within a rapidly expanding business. The business has a very ambitious five year vision and is looking to expand the team with first class individuals to support this growth.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, a vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller who will take on a diverse range of responsibilities across the business.

The successful candidate will need a strong academic background and be looking to take the opportunity to develop and progress within a fast moving and exciting commercial environment. Your duties will include: supporting the development of financial strategies within the business, ensuring due diligence over methodology Ensuring robust financial and systems controls are in place, and are in accordance with Group policies and procedures.

You will produce monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner. Manage the year end process and prepare statutory accounts, including corporation tax. Ensure all projects are tracked commercially from tender to completion, and that there is appropriate accounting treatment of any long term contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant or finalist who has proven experience in a similar role, experience of using SAP would be a distinct advantage, you must be a confident user of Excel and ideally have experience within project accounting. This is a busy and complex role, you will be supported by a team and work closely with the commercial manager
