Financial Accountant

A newly created opportunity for a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Financial Accountant to join the UK accounts team of this fast growing international business. Working in their Northampton distribution office, you would play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Finance and Operations with the financial management of the Group as needed.

As Financial Accountant, you will be the champion for internal control within the Finance team and, in particular, ensure that all Balance Sheet reconciliations are being completed regularly within the team. You will support the Financial Controller to ensure that all accounting entries are processed in a manner which is consistent with the Group’s legal entity structure.  

This will include ensuring that all intercompany transactions (including transfer pricing entries) are correctly recorded and eliminated for management accounts purposes, engaging with the Director of Finance & Operations in the annual audit process and ensuring that all UK regulatory returns are submitted on a timely basis, including VAT and Intrastats.

There will be liaison with auditors to ensure statutory control and compliance and you will ensure the quality and accuracy of timely internal and external reporting. You will be highly numerate, have strong technical accounting skills, effective verbal and written communication and a strong knowledge of Excel.
