Finance Manager

Progressive and rapidly expanding city based real estate organisation have a vacancy for a commercially focused qualified accountant to join a busy finance function.

Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with senior management, you will take full responsibility for the preparation and delivery of the company finance pack and take the opportunity to lead and manage the finance function.  Key duties include:

• Collation and submission of the monthly finance pack.
• Mentor, lead and develop the finance team.
• Challenge existing reports and identify areas for process improvements and automation.
• Maintain and scrutinise the fixed asset register.
• Full business cashflow support management.
• Monitor business capital expenditure.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Due diligence and auditing of site costing analysis.
• Monthly cost reporting analysis and variance analysis.
• Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure, including central overheads.
• Annual preparation and assist in the submission of the company statutory accounts.
• Periodic and quarterly VAT returns.

This exciting opportunity is commercially focused where you will regularly conduct meetings with budget holders to review actuals and forecasted spend and support senior peers and non-finance stakeholder

The successful candidate must possess first class interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to manage and develop a team.  You will be commercially astute, results focused with the ability to perform under pressure and build effective relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.
