Head of Finance

Our client is a high growth VC backed technology business with an international footprint. This role will be integral in supporting the growth of the business and key responsibilities will include –

• Be accountable to the Executive Chairman and the board for financial management of the company
• Propose and implement a financial strategy for supporting the operational goals of the business
• Own the financial strategy of the business and present this to external stakeholders and the Board

• Manage the creation and implementation of the company’s operational budget
• Manage costs and contracts for subcontractors, channel partners, and contract manufacturers
• Ensure the Company complies with its various statutory and legal obligations in the territories in which it is operating
• Maintain the Parent Company’s EIS status

Specific Duties

• Oversee all company accounts and investments
• Create and analyse monthly and annual financial reports
• Manage day to day cash flow
• Record and report all financial transactions against budget
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
• Ensure company pension commitments are compliant with current legislation
• Establish a definitive register of all patents/pending patents detailing nature, stage and renewal dates liaising with the relevant partner

You will be a Qualified Accountant. Experience of working in a high tech manufacturing business with international supply chain, marketing, and distribution channels would be highly advantageous. You must be dynamic, analytical, and possess problem-solving skills with an ability to think outside the box.
