An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our client, an FS Institute based in the Docklands

Key responsibilities of the Role will include:

Consolidation, Reporting and Monitoring
*Support the team in establishing a robust capital reporting framework and data infrastructure to facilitate business management in an efficient and effective manner. Build flexibility into the system to move in step with business demands, as well as, regulatory requirements.
*Develop and monitor a comprehensive set of key capital indicators. Develop cluster/ business line diagnostics to assess, quantify and mitigate risks in these areas.
*Provide support to the team in decision support and analytics for policy monitoring across all products and regions.
*Running the Group Regulatory reporting timetable, ensuring all external deadlines are met without fail.
*Engage with regulators and auditors to ensure compliance and proper representation of our policies/ practices.
*Manage governance process and ensure compliance at the Cluster and Group level.

Decision making through articulating the implications for risk taking and impacts to reg
*Develop and maintain expert knowledge of nature and direction of relevant business areas (especially around any commentary required or provided by relevant business area and key risk drivers of business).
*Support ad hoc projects, for example, resolution and recovery planning, stress testing and various regulatory requests.

Project participation
*Demonstrate an understanding of the End to End Project Life Cycle including documentation, User acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation
*An understanding of Business Requirements (BR) documentations and Change Requests (CRs) for regulatory reporting platform AXIOM
*Review and sign off of mapping documents, test cases and expected results for multiple deliverables ( CoRep/FCA returns)
*Timely escalation of issues and risks to the Project team ensuring robust risk mitigation strategies
*SME input to support various transactions
*React to regulatory change relating to external disclosure or return requirements
*Projects may be either specific to the Regulatory Reporting department or strategic projects across Finance as a whole
*Support adhoc projects including resolution and recovery planning, structural reform, stress testing and various regulatory requests


The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes/skills:

*Regulatory Reporting experience ( Taxonomy changes in particular)
*Knowledge of SAS, AXIOM and XBRL is essential
*Good understanding of banking, with some experience or specific relevant qualifications.
*Ability to take ownership and responsibility, proactively managing work through to completion
*Able to effectively cope with the demand of having multiple deliverables to execute within a short timeframe
*Strong excel skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data
*Excellent attention to detail, with strong focus on stewardship, taking processes and improving them
*Proactive approach to problem solving and change
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, expresses thoughts and ideas in a structured and logical way
*Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
