Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a large distribution/manufacturing business based in Preston who are looking to recruit a solid Management Accountant who can produce the full reporting pack at month end. The company has grown through acquisition and is now looking to consolidate and streamline controls and processes.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

· Completion of consolidated monthly management accounts with supporting commentary

· Monitor the monthly accruals and prepayments

· Manage overhead reports, analysis and monitor cost centre expenditure

· Produce accountable analysis of both the sales and margin figures.

· Complete the VAT returns and HMRC reports

· Assist with the annual budget/forecasting process

· Assist with the maintenance of the fixed asset register

The role would suit a candidate who is nearly or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and looking to develop their monthly reporting exposure and commercial analysis experience within a reputable organisation. Ideally you will have a good level of Excel knowledge and strong exposure to the reporting of month end accounts.
