Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working in partnership with a local SME who are developing into one of the real success stories in the area. Rotherham based Manufacturer and Distributor, Granville Oil & Chemicals are on the search for a new Finance Manager to lead them forward in the next phase of their growth plans. With a profitable turnover, the business has experienced steady and stable growth over the last few years - and was recently bought out by a global powerhouse - Tide Oil. The parent company wish the business to keep their autonomous nature, whilst investing in their expansion over the upcoming years.
Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a role that has already been earmarked for future Directorship - and you will work closely with the Commercial Director - highlighting the commercial focus that this position will have. You will manage a small team, and ultimately control the finance function. This is a role for someone who is prepared to get out on the shop floor and help impact commercial and strategic decisions.
The background of the successful candidate is not pre-determined. Suitable experience producing accounts and working in and around the balance sheet is adequate, and whilst commercial experience is helpful - the directors will consider someone who does not yet have that experience but has a desire and enthusiasm to get heavily involved in that side of the business. You do need to be ambitious and be prepared to roll your sleeves up, this is a team that prides itself on being 'all hands on deck' during busy periods, and ego's need not apply.
This is a premium role for a Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant who sees themselves as someone who can make it to the top of a successful business. Working in a friendly and good humoured office, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to get a role that will develop into a board level position over the next few years.
