This position will support the transformation team in a hands on finance role understanding the cost base across the Group, working with senior stakeholders and driving key cost saving measures through the business. This position will also be critical in ensuring strong financial rigour in all benefit tracking and clarity of reporting for all cost savings.
This company is a leading employer in the area with an enviable record of expansion and growth in new and existing markets whilst also building its core business consistently over the years. The successful individual will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant of the highest calibre with experience as a finance specialist within transformation programmes and not a business change consultant running the whole project. The candidate should have significant experience focusing on cost base analysis within a large change programme and used to delivering improvements through understanding the cost base and focusing on key areas of organisational design and FTEs.
Duties will include:
- Interrogating the financial systems independently and cut the cost data multiple different ways (eg Function, Staff, 3rd Party, CAPEX/OPEX etc..)
- Support end to end Cost Base Analysis and cost-base aggregation
- Analyse and present data to inform where greatest opportunities may exist - informing priorities, benchmarking etc.
- Support benefits tracking, providing oversight and mitigating risks eg double-counting and ensuring benefits are actually realised
