Reconciliations Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a rapidly growing Fintech business looking to add a highly motivated and driven individual to work within the Reconciliations team. The ideal person will be degree qualified (2:1 or above) who has previously worked in a similar position for the last 12-24 months.

Daily Responsibilities and requirements will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of month end journals as required
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly transactional and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any issues are raised immediately
• Identify opportunities to improve processes
• Updating documentation outlining the reconciliation processes
• Taking ownership of exceptions for clearance and monitoring of aged exceptions
• Liaising with Customer Services to resolve customer queries
• Assisting and supporting the automation of the reconciliation process
• Supporting the wider Finance team as needed
• Finance background necessary - previous experience working in a reconciliation team
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines efficiently within fast-paced environment
• A flexible individual who enjoys working in a changing environment, with an enjoyment of problem-solving and a strong analytical mindset
• A real interest in pursuing a career in finance and accounting within a fintech company
• An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
