A rapidly growing business in the Media sector is looking for a Senior Group Accountant. The Senior Group Accountant will report to the Finance Director and take on a very broad role covering financial reporting, business development, M&A, FP&A (group budget/forecast), cash flow, P&L analysis and a wide range of ad hoc projects and investment appraisal work. This individual will also play a key part in the constant review and update of KPIs in order to track and understand business performance. The Senior Group Accountant will also directly manage one individual and supervise a number of other junior team members.

The business is highly acquisitive and they are constantly seeking M&A opportunities. Therefore, supporting the FD with the appraisal of potential acquisitions will play a key part in the role. The Senior Group Accountant will need excellent Excel skills and the ability to manipulate and understand large, complex data sets. An ability to work confidently with finance systems will also be important in this role.

The Finance Director is looking for a hungry and motivated individual. The business is growing rapidly and high energy levels and motivation will be key for success in the role. The Senior Group Accountant will gain exposure to top level senior management and non finance stake holders so there will be an excellent opportunity to build a strong internal brand quickly and accelerate progression within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with hands on experience of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and strong Excel skills.
