Financial Accountant

Macildowie are delighted to be working with a leading North Leicestershire based business, my client is a well established player in their industry and are going through an extended period of growth both organically and through acquisitions.

The role will report into a highly charismatic Chartered Financial Controller with an impressive background across a variety of large businesses

The role will be responsible for

Overseeing all the outputs of the Financial Accounting team, ensuring that all month end reporting is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Management of a team of 2 junior analysts mentoring, developing and coaching through their studies.

Production of the statutory accounts and tax reporting, to be passed up to the Group function.


Review the Balance Sheet reconciliations, performed by the Financial Accounting team.

Ensure that all financial reports are in line with both internal and external controls frameworks.

Educating the wider finance function on controls updates and their ramifications.

Contribute to the wider performance of the finance team, taking a lead on process and system improvement activities.

To be considered for this role you must be ACCA/ACA Qualified with previous experience of managing people within a sizeable financial accounting function.

You will also need to have working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

An up to date understanding and working experience of controls frameworks is essential.
