An opportunity has arisen to join one of Manchester's newest most exciting cutting edge tech & solution start-ups based in south Manchester for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an expanding team.
This role sits within the Shared Services area supporting a variety of companies across events and travel working closely with the Event and Planning teams to provide a centre of excellence and supporting the efficient production and reporting of the division's activities
Role
This role is responsible for the accounting and reporting of individual events across all functions of Purchases, Sales, Cash, Payments. The role works within a supportive team that has multiple Bookkeepers providing a centre of excellence in accounting and bookkeeping support
Responsibilities
*Coding and posting purchase invoices into the accounts package (QuickBooks) on a daily basis
*Reviewing and posting bank transactions into the accounts package daily
*Checking PO approval on purchase invoices
*Raising new customer accounts as instructed
*Raising Sales invoices
*Setting up invoices for payment on the online banking platform
*Matching and clearing Sales and Purchase invoices using bank and sub ledger entries
*Posting and reviewing expenses related to the allocated Festivals
*Posting Intercompany transactions in corresponding companies
*Ensuring VAT posting is accurate
*Posting journals
*Supporting Balance Sheet reconciliations working the financial controller
Requirements
*Part qualified AAT bookkeeper or qualified by experience
*Availability immediately
*2 years Experienced processing transactions, either Sales / Purchases / Bank
*Ability to travel throughout the UK
*Preferred experience / interest in the Music sector
*Expert in utilization of Microsoft office products, written reporting and analysis
