Royston, United Kingdom – Our client, a prestigious global employer is seeking to recruit a Site Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Site Director, the Site Financial Controller will support, challenge and partner with the management team to develop and deliver a finance function which partners and drives the performance of the business and through effective governance of a control strategy, lessens the risks to that performance. The role will be responsible for providing financial analysis on both actuals and forward looking data and deliver timely, accurate and efficient reporting. You will take the lead in governance and control matters within the management team and implement effective controls to ensure compliance and risk management and build a culture of accountability within the finance team.
As Site Financial Controller you will drive improved financial performance of the business through an understanding of business activities and priorities and proactive engagement with all functions and levels within the business. You will assess commercial viability of investment decisions, articulate financial risks and opportunities and create value through the provision of robust data, trends and improvement in the quality of decision making. The role will be responsible for building relationships to support and challenge business performance including pricing, costing, profitability, asset utilisation, capital funding, working capital and cash flow management.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical ability and ideally previous experience within a high value manufacturing environment and a proven track record of making change. You will be able to demonstrate a desire to drive continuous improvement to existing processes and will have the enthusiasm and proven leadership skills to improve accounting skills and knowledge within the team and develop organizational talent.
