Your new role
As the Deputy Director of Resources you will deputise for and represent the Executive Director of Resources through sharing responsibilities for representation and reporting at Trustee Boards, Committees, Executive Board and other key stakeholder meetings as required. You will oversee the coordination, delivery and performance of all directorate activities in the absence of the Executive Director and manage Heads within the Resources Directorate and make time critical decisions. This role will lead on discrete areas of cross-directorate work and on projects as delegated by the Executive Director of Resources as well as lead on the development of a robust procurement strategy. Support will be also given to the Executive Director in the development of a finance strategy that assists the Corporate Strategy.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be CCAB/CIMA Qualified with evidence of Continual Professional Development and ideally have a breadth of knowledge of the public sector and/or charity finance and procurement. Understanding the delivery of HR, property, Health and Safety, IT, and governance services in a customer focused business environment is desirable. In person you will be professional, credible and articulate with the ability to speak authoritatively to stakeholders. You will also be commercially astute, able to mitigate and manage risk and analyse high standards in best practice and developments in the sector relating to finance, procurement and business information.
