FINANCE CONTROLLER/ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Our client, a long established international healthcare technology company that develops, manufactures and distributes monitoring systems, is looking to hire an experienced Accounting Manager for its operations in the Hesse region.

The team in Germany is growing quickly, and based on this expansion, our client urgently needs an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team. This is an important role and as the business evolves the Accounting Manager will play an integral part in building the framework required to support the business. You will be responsible for promoting the quality and integrity of the accounting function by effectively supporting all aspects of the corporation's accounting processes through effective communication and a positive customer attitude.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information
• Own and manage the month end close process
• Manage KPI reporting
• Lead the German finance function including management of AP and AR processes
• Manage all corporate tax reporting processes
• Manage all VAT reporting processes
• Drive implementation and compliance regarding company policies in country

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

• Hold a recognized accounting qualification; a Bachelor's Degree from college or university in accounting or related field is preferred
• Around 10 years' experience, ideally in Germany within a similar role, preferably in a medical device environment
• Experience of working with German GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and accounting software Oracle, ERP as well as raising audits and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Fluency in German and English
