Working with the Commercial Controller and supporting operations, marketing and sales, our client, a highly recognisable brand are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to drive business performance and improve reporting, costing, analysis and core projects.

The business have an ever expanding UK network and are seeking to recruit a pro-active business partner to support 2 key business areas and drive improvements in processes and business performance.

This is a "client facing" opportunity that requires a pro-active individual to bridge the gap between finance and operations and will suit a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) who has previous experience of costing and commercial business partnering.

Responsibilities:

  • Challenge, analyse and support UK Operations in key decision-making
  • Support and lead forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning for UK operations team with information, insight, advice and reporting
  • Providing decision support to the Ops and Sales Director, Technical Director and the Finance Director
  • Track spend to ensure we have contingencies to protect contribution and holding budget holders to account
  • Financial management for operations projects e.g. appraisal, costing, scenario planning, financial modelling
  • Evaluation of business performance; setting up and reporting to complement current management accounts
  • Setting up and managing processes to ensure KPIs for each business segment are in place and reported
  • Attend key meetings including cross-functional project delivery teams, Budget and 3-year planning
  • Involvement in Budgeting and Forecasting processes for relevant areas
  • Tracking Capex spend to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Ensuring processes are developed and maintained to deliver robust product profitability information
  • Ensuring understanding within the business along with variance and trend analysis

This is a high impact role that requires a dedicated individual with a sound ability to forge and maintain strong business relationships, view the bigger picture and drive commercial value. Suitable candidates will need to be fully qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent with a track record of preparing and delivering detailed analyst. A capable board level operator, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to challenge and influence others, demonstrating a track record of astute commercial judgement.
