Plant Cost Controller

SF Group are currently recruiting for a Plant Controller for a successful manufacturing company in South Derbyshire. The business has witnessed impressive growth recently with sustained growth planned. As the Plant Controller you will be responsible for forecasting the Plants performance, and identifying key performance variances to help support continued business growth.

Key responsibilities:

• To successfully forecast the Plants performance, identify key performance variances and focus the management team's actions on addressing these variances
• Prepare budgets and monthly forecasts
• Prepare monthly Sales analysis and P&L's with commentary on variances to budgets and forecasts, with focus on selling price movements, sales mix variance, BOM Changes, stock adjustments, scrap variances, purchase price movements, material usage variances, overhead variances
• Maintain BOM costings
• Escalate GRNI issues with plant team
• Line management responsibility for purchase ledger
• Ensuring stock levels are monitored, accuracy maintained and target relevant team members with reductions
• Weekly Sales analysis, P&L's with ad-hoc analysis of P&L items not performing to budget and forecasts
• Influence the Plant Manager and management team to prioritise actions on key variances
• Provide financial support to the plant management team as required
• Work with commercial/project finance teams to monitor sales price movement and product profitability and highlight any issues

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with experience strong experience of cost control in a fast paced environment, ideally within manufacturing. You will have strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines; as well as good organisation skills. You will be accurate and methodical in data analysis; as well as a strong communicator, with the ability to influence. It would be beneficial if you have experience of SAP or a similar ERP system as well as advanced Excel.
