Financial Planning and Analysis – Senior Analyst

£50/55,000 + benefits + bonus
Central London

Accountabilities
  • Drive Business Objectives through the provision of information
  • Ensure that the Business (Department heads) are provided with the necessary financial analysis and KPIs to assist them in running their area/function
  • Ensure that Management Information/KPIs  are available or distributed in a timely manner
  • Work with the Controllership team in the final stages of monthly accounts production to ensure accurate reports and variance analysis
  • Produce a monthly trading report to go in the monthly Board pack detailing key observations/variances/actions required 
  • Ensure that Risks and Opportunities are identified early and tracked
  • Produce the annual budget and forecasts along with support packs e.g. pitch pages
  • Act in a Treasury capacity ensuring that there is a clear understanding of cash requirements, facilities and that cashflow forecasting is frequent and accurate
  • Work on Revenue generation initiatives and “Cost-out” opportunities with the relevant team/function
  • Work on Strategic plans and model as required
  • Support the CFO as required on various projects
  • Initiate and support existing revenue generation initiatives and costing out opportunities with the entire senior management team
  • Develop strategic plans and models as and when required by the CFO
  • Support all processes related to proactive cost control initiatives

Previous Experience
  • 4-6 years accounting and analytical experience
  • Nearly qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Excellent academics
  • Experience in industry essential
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Operational finance with a focus on a high level of attention to detail with the added ability to see the wider picture
  • Experience of budgeting/variance analysis/stakeholder management
Desirable
  • Financial services experience
  • SUN accounting system
Competencies
  • Ability to plan, budget and forecast to a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to explain variances in P&L and Balance Sheet vs Budgets and Forecasting
  • Advanced level of Excel experience including ability to create and use v-look ups, offset and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Commercially minded
