I am recruiting the role of Financial Accountant for a successful organisation that is gearing up for significant growth over the coming years. Working closely with the Financial Controller within a medium size team you will provide all technical support to the Group as well as mentoring junior members of the team.
Main responsibilities:-
• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Ownership of month end close and regular reporting
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely completion of the statutory audit
• Provide technical accounting and tax advice to members of the finance team and the wider business
• Analyse accounting systems used to look for inaccuracies and potential improvements
• Oversee all tax regulatory/compliance issues and liaise with HMRC on a number of corporation tax and VAT issues
• Pension Scheme reporting
• Ad-hoc project work
The candidate:-
• ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
• Someone who trained within a top 20 accountancy firm
• Working knowledge of IFRS and FRS reporting standards
• Strong on systems i.e. Excel, Reporting Tools, etc
