Pure are currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a world leading pharmaceutical business based on the outskirts of Cambridge. This is a broad role which has a mix of UK and international tax and covers both direct and indirect taxation. The duties of this position will include:
• Preparation of UK Corporation tax return
• Preparation of the Group's R&D tax claim
• Provide sound tax advice in relation to new international entities
• Review of tax returns for overseas entities
• Preparation of US tax provision
• Own the quarterly provision calculations for the Group's interim reporting
• Take responsibilities for the audit of tax, co-ordinating with internal and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate testing
• Review upcoming changes in legislation to help advise the Group on its decision-making
• Various one off project work, including reviewing existing processes and suggesting improvements where possible
In order to be successful in this position you will have the following skills and attributes:
• Previous experience of dealing with complex tax structures within a group environment
• Qualified with a CIOT recognised qualification or have demonstrable relevant experience
• Experience of dealing with international taxation
• Positive self-starter with an inquisitive mind.
• Good team player
