Sellick partnership are exclusively recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a fantastic team based in the Derbyshire area. This is a permanent full time position in which the Financial Controller will oversee the finance function of a rapidly growing organisation. This SME has almost doubled in size within the past year and requires modern day Finance lead to grow and develop with the business, and potentially progress into a Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and provide detailed reports to the board
  • Actively monitor and report on job costings and margins
  • Monthly profit and loss for each job, working alongside the board to discuss results with the operations team
  • Cashflow forecasts and projections, including credit control and cash flow maximisation
  • Annual profit and loss forecasts and capital expenditure budgets
  • Manage and motivate the finance and admit team
  • Responsible for ensuring the accounts processes and controls are efficient and being adhered too
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC for VAT, PAYE and CIS

The successful Financial Controller will have the following:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Excellent leadership skills with strong communication skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role and similar size business
  • Ambitious and highly capable
  • Drive continuous improvement in a growing company
  • Have proven experience and a good understanding of costing
  • Construction experience is preferred but not essential
