Financial Controller

My hugely successful and rapidly expanding manufacturer and brand owner of natural products , is looking to make a key appointment of a newly created role of Financial Controller . Working closely alongside the Managing Director and managing a team of 2 your the initial remit is :

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary within agreed timescales
• Preparation and submission of all statutory reporting incl. VAT, P11Ds, PSA (PAYE Settlement Agreement), ONS (Office for National Statistics)
• Preparation of Annual Budget and quarterly forecasts
• Forecasting, financial planning and cash flow maintenance
• Calculating and processing monthly journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Produce annual pack for the year end audit
• Liaise with auditors
• Monthly reconciliation of control accounts
• Prepare and distribute reporting packs on a daily / weekly monthly basis
• Preparation and development of KPI packs
• Provide ad hoc reports as required by the business
• Day to day management of the accounts team of 2 to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all financial information
• Manage the purchase order process to ensure tight cost control
• Work with Channel Managers to improve forecasting accuracy
• Maintenance and development off all internal systems, processes and procedures that effect the efficient production of management information Continually review to streamline processes.

The Person:
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the business
• Be a self-motivated leader with a desire to deliver accurate, high quality output
• Driven to continuously have finance at the centre of the commercial success of the business
• Strong system experience including Excel and ERP systems
• Excellent business analytical skills

This is role will allow the suitable , ambitious candidate to make their mark on this business as it goes into the next phase of growth and will lead to a role as Finance Director in the future.
