Head of FP&A

Our client, an instantly recognisable brand, currently going through an exciting period of transformational change and innovation, is looking to source a top calibre, commercially astute Head of FP&A to join the team and play a key part in shaping future strategy and decision making.

The next 3 - 5 years will be pivotal in building momentum from the initial work already put in place, including streamlining the store portfolio, investing in eCommerce, new systems and aligning operating divisions with a strong and sustainable planning and reporting process. The successful candidate will truly support the next phase of evolution, reporting directly to the CFO and providing value-adding information to drive the success of the organisation.

Main duties include:
* Providing insight while proactively shaping the business through data driven decision making
* Establish a clear financial and operational road-map, tracking progress against the key milestones and deliverables
* Further develop the end to end planning, budgeting and reporting cycle
* Manage the annual planning cycles ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with overall strategy and numbers whilst influencing the aspiration of the business
* Work with the Financial Controller to develop and enhance the monthly reporting pack
* Prepare executive summaries and analysis of monthly and quarterly results
* Establish and lead a cycle of quarterly business reviews
* Provide timely and insightful information to the Board of Directors
* Develop scenario planning and reforecasting exercises to be presented to the Board
* Mentoring and managing a team of Analysts
* Work closely with CFO and FC to prepare investor presentations
* Influence the content and contribute to the preparation of the Annual report
* Establish dashboards to monitor all key drivers of the business
* Summarise and report on key highlights from competitor results announcements

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with a strong academic record and proven track record in FP&A within the Retail/Consumer goods sector. You must have demonstrated clear career trajectory to date and a desire to continually develop your skill set and challenge existing capabilities.

The role comes with great exposure to the CFO and Board, so you must, therefore, have obvious credibility and gravitas; capable of influencing decision making and constructively challenging senior stakeholders where necessary. You will have examples to date where you used your communication skills to build cross-functional relationships and demonstrated exceptional commercial awareness, through 'best in class' analysis, as well as highlighting business risks and opportunities for growth.
