Stock & Logistics Finance Analyst

Our client, a dynamic and fashion-forward retailer, with a loyal customer base and strong market share, is looking to source a top calibre Stock and Logistics Analyst to join its talented tea. The position will sit within the FP&A function, business partnering across Supply Chain and Operations to improve the quality of information, commercial insight and control over stock.

You will have great senior exposure, working closely with the Group Finance Director, Head of Logistics and other Divisional Heads to control the purchase of stock and ensuring volumes and margins are in line with expectation. You must, therefore, demonstrate clear credibility and gravitas to influence decision making and build relationships with high level stakeholders.

Main duties:
* Ensuring right level of stock purchased for the group and reviewing performance stock
* Work with Managers to ensure stock is cleared in the most efficient way
* Responsibility for the calculation of group stock provisions, making sure model is robust
* Budgeting and forecasting of FOREX and costing, understanding the impact of exchange on stock purchases and forecasting components that make up margin
* Working with production to understand intake margins and how this is built
* Ownership of stock provision
* Reviewing warehouse costs, ensuring reporting/KPIs are in place to review efficiencies

Key skills and experience:
* Commercial minded Finance Analyst with experience in Retail/FMCG
* Ability to analyse large amounts of data and generate meaningful insight
* Attention to detail whilst being able to see the bigger picture
* High level Excel skills
* Bright, confident, self-starter
