Financial Controller

Established Engineering company based in Hertfordshire require an experienced accountant to join a small team and take responsibility for their finance function . Reporting in to the directors and managing 3 staff,you will be a very hands on versatile accountant who will oversee all the day to day transactional processing whilst also preparing and monitoring budgets and cash flow forecasting .You will be responsible for effectively managing cash , preparing monthly Financial and management reports together with analysis and commentary on KP's . Working closely with the directors and company auditors you will manage the audit process across the group and further develop and improve current processes and procedures and refine their costing systems. You will also be expected to take on some company secretarial HR ,and general marketing and admin duties as required
This is an all encompassing role and the ideal candidate should be flexible with a strong personality and have previously been a company accountant or Financial controller for a small group of companies . Previous exposure to construction ,engineering or architecture/design type companies would be an advantage.
