I am currently working for a global business based in South East London who can offer a truly fantastic career opportunity that is ideally suited towards a candidate making their first move into industry.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and evaluation of monthly management accounts (P&L, BS, Cash flow and KPI) for allocated Business Units
  • Preparation of B/S reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, creating and posting journals, pre-payments and accruals
  • Analysing financial statements for discrepancies and investigating appropriate resolutions
  • Proving ad hoc reports as directed
  • Providing commercial support to allocated Business Units and partners across the global organisation as required
  • Formulating forecasts, budgets and any long term financial outlook as and when required
  • Analysing existing processes within the finance team, finding opportunities and make recommendations to streamline and gain efficiencies
  • Taking ownership of process improvements and documentation ensuring processes are robust, effectively controlled and operating in accordance with procedures
  • Preparing detailed reports and schedules for audits as requested by the statutory team
  • Producing schedules and summary presentations for business decisions and ad hoc requests
  • Recommend methods and strategies for cost improvements
  • Preparing short and long term cash flow statements for allocated Business Units
  • Suggesting improvements in cash management
  • Point of contact and liaison for auditors

 
Essential Requirements:

 

  • Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Self-starter with ability to work using own initiative and deliver solid recommendations
  • Highly organised individual, diligent by nature with a passion for accuracy 
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Intermediate Excel Skills essential
  • Working knowledge of Sage (X3) desirable but not essential
