FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

An opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified Accountant to join an award winning communications business as a Financial Controller. They presently T/O £20m and are looking to double that turnover moving forward. Working for a dynamic business with a diverse portfolio of revenue streams this role will become a key component of their team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director your role shall entail;

- Preparation of Management Accounts and Business Data to enable pivotal decision making
- Responsible for reporting Actuals v Forecasts
- Preparation of statutory accounts for all companies
- Monthly preparation of sales commission statements - and bonus provisions
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Responsible for ensuring revenue recognition takes place and on time
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Implementing strong controls and procedures - and ensuring processes are followed
- Cash management

This role will suit

- Immediately available or with 4 weeks notice or less
- A recently Qualified Accountant
- Experienced in managing and mentoring different levels of staff
- Stable employment history
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience of improving processes and systems
- Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing
- A desire to be part of an ambitious a growing business
