**Sales Finance Executive**
Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently working alongside a Market Leading Retail business based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre to appoint Sales Finance Executive to the team.
This is a permanent opportunity paying circa £20,000 per annum + Study Support.

Sales Finance Executive Position Summary:
A newly created role, this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business in a pivotal position linking the sales and finance functions. The successful candidate will work alongside members of both the Financial Control and Commercial Control teams to support both the finance department and the wider business to develop and enhance their financial reporting, business processes and business decision making.
This is a crucial role in the co-ordination of information between the sales and finance functions, to support the visibility and accuracy of reporting, as well as enhancing process efficiency and financial control. The role has great exposure to both the Sales and Finance functions and provides an ideal platform for understanding and development in a finance support role.
Sales Finance Executive Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop the scope of their role in line with these key guidelines. The ideal candidate will have an ability to work with all members of the finance team and to work with key stakeholders to develop the efficiency of existing business processes.
- Ensuring that the price master data within SAP is consistent with pricing arrangements agreed with the customer, and thus minimising the risk of price claims and aged debt balances.
- Providing support to the Finance and Sales functions in ensuring the accurate accrual and reporting of trade spend provisions, and maintaining source records for audit purposes.
- Assisting the Sales and Marketing Business Partner in the forecasting of sales revenues and trade spend.
- Co-ordinating and collating customer master data from the sales team, to support the efficient processing, reporting and cash collection processes.
- Development and documentation of changes to the key processes underlying the financial management and reporting of sales orders, invoices and trade spend.
- Completing monthly Extrastat and EC Sales Returns to National Statistics department.
- Provide support to all members of the Finance team in peak trading periods and absences
Candidate Specification
- Self-motivated with a drive to succeed and learn
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to hold their own in a high pace/pressure environment
- Experience of SAP (or equivalent ERP software) is an advantage
