Financial Controller

Key elements of this Financial Controller role include the production of budgets and performance forecasts, preparation and presentation of monthly management reports and performance reviews, supporting the operational managers with KPI reports and cost analysis, reviewing capex proposals, providing day to day leadership and direction to the finance team.

The successful candidate will be a proven Financial Controller, ideally with experience within the manufacturing or engineering industries. The client is looking for somebody with strong leadership skills; the ability to present with confidence to senior stakeholders; and a willingness to make a contribution to a committed leadership team. Exposure to senior stakeholders and the ability to thrive in an autonomous role will be important.

Job description

*Production of monthly financial management information pack

*Budgeting, planning and forecasting

*Production of yearly Statutory Accounts

*Management of Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT returns

*Liasing with departmental managers to discuss financial performance

*Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance

*Providing information to aid key strategic decision making and formulating business strategies

*Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions

*Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers

*Manangement of finance team

*Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements were needed

*Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
