Senior Finance Manager
£45,000 - £55,000
London Westminster (moving to Canary Wharf in early 2018)
Ofgem is committed to making a positive difference for energy consumers through effective regulation of the market and close working with suppliers to ensure sustainable energy for consumers and businesses in the UK.
RIIO is Ofgem’s framework for setting price controls for network companies – designed to ensure that companies make the required levels of investment to support a reliable and sustainable network, at a fair price to consumers. We now have an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead on the development, maintenance and use of financial models to support the RIIO price control process. This will involve making formal arrangements with network companies in relation to our price control financial model, and working with financial data reflecting the performance of energy network companies and in support of major projects. It will suit an individual with experience of financial modelling to inform best practice and who can establish positive working relationships with key stakeholders, to persuade and influence working practices.
We expect that you’ll be degree-qualified. You should bring expertise in financial modelling in a regulatory, corporate or project finance context and be familiar with financial, economic and accounting measures. This should be backed up with knowledge of data management and analytics including familiarity with data management, analysis and statistical packages. It’s important that you are a highly motivated, self-starter, ready to take responsibility for making things happen.
Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:
- Up to 30 days’ annual leave
- Excellent training and development opportunities
- The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
- Flexible working hours and family friendly policies
- Subsidised gym and restaurant (London only)
- Interest free season ticket loan.
Closing date: midnight, 7th August 2017.
Ofgem is an equal opportunities employer. Protecting consumers and powering the future of the energy debate.
