**Bank Reconciliations Assistant Accountant**
Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently working alongside a Market Leading Property business based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre to appoint a Bank Reconciliations Assistant Accountant to the team.
This is a permanent opportunity paying circa £21,000 per annum.

Overall Purpose of Job

Responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountability's

Register and code all ad-hoc supplier invoices and forwarding to appropriate signatory for approval
Posting and scanning invoices to the system
Reviewing Head Lease invoice accuracy against details on the property database and escalating any variances to the relevant surveyor
Process supplier refunds which may require a reconciliation of the account and liaison with supplier in order to post accurately
Actively chase credit balances to ensure credit balances are maintained to an acceptable level
Reconciliations of statement of accounts paying particular attention to unidentified arrears and resolve accordingly
Completing bi-weekly BACS payment run; cheque run and any ad-hoc payments
Float reconciliation
Coding Service Charge Budgets and Service Charge invoices and forward to Service Charge Team for approval
To ensure supplier and head lease payments are paid on time
Reporting supplier bank account changes to the client on a monthly basis
Daily communication and query resolution from internal and external sources including but not limited to surveyors, suppliers and tenants
Managing central finance inbox
Monitoring and responding to queries received from various sources
Filing/photocopying/scanning
Adhering to RICS guidelines

The selected candidate will have the following:

Experience of working to tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Ability to listen to the stakeholders request, interpret and provide a resolution
Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordingly
Excellent communication skills
High level of IT knowledge including advanced knowledge of excel
Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision
Good work ethic with an energetic approach
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the team.
