Financial Accountant, SOX, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, £35,000 - £38,000p/a


Hays are currently working exclusively with a UK division of a global US owned business to assist in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant.

This is a newly created position that will see you report to a recently appointed Finance Manager.

The role will have an emphasis on Internal Controls & processes (SOX) but you will also be involved in the preparation of Financial Accounts for the UK entities under US GAAP.

The role would be an excellent first move from Practice although candidates already in Industry will certainly be considered. There is excellent career progression on offer and the chance to move into the broader business.

Skills and Experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant(CIMA/ACCA/CA)
• Good negotiation skills
• Ability to produce and present business cases/reports
• Proactive approach to identification and resolution of improvement opportunities
• Ability to deal with change and prioritise workload in a changing environment
• Up to date working knowledge and experience of current Accounting Regulations
• Experience of ERP systems
• Commercial appreciation
