Finance Manager

A niche construction business based in Hertfordshire are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team on a part time basis. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the finances of the business overseeing an Accounts Assistant, in maintaining the sales and payables ledger, daily bank reconciliations, payroll, setting up a cash flow forecast and producing management accounts, reporting against an annual budget. Good knowledge of Excel is required, with Sage 50 Accounts, Sage Payroll and Job Costing being the current software application although it is envisaged that this individual will assist the part time Finance Director to upgrade to new software. The role will suit someone who is ideally newly qualified and has hands on experience of producing management accounts and will possess good communication skills to be able liaise with a broad range of customers. You will be a good team player as the business is growing but small with a strong team ethic, although being able to lead when appropriate. Please note that the salary stated will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked (21-28 hours flexible). The hours can be split over 3 or 5 working days.
