Credit Controller – High-End Fashion Distributor (Part Time)
London, W1
£22,000 - £27,000 pro rata
Do you have credit control experience? If so, this could be the role for you.
Our client is one of the UK’s fastest growing high-end fashion distributors. Located right in the heart of London’s West End, they’ve built up an enviable reputation for supplying top names such as Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, ASOS and Net-a-Porter. They are now looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team on a part time basis.
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for taking ownership of client accounts, ensuring any overdue debts are collected promptly. Reviewing current credit control process, you will make recommendations on how to make effective use of the Sage credit control function.
You will open accounts for new customers and set up credit limits for them. You will also effectively manage the credit control for your accounts though regular communication with both customers and the sales staff.
Dealing with clients by phone, letter and email, you will liaise regularly with your accounts, ensuring excellent relationships are maintained. In addition to maximising cash flow by forecasting accurate collections on a weekly and monthly basis, you will also deal with all sales ledger enquires.
Your other duties will include:
- Posting and allocating cheques, bacs, credit card receipts and pre-payment receipts
- Reconciling customer accounts and sending out statements
- Raising pro forma invoices and credit notes for returns
- Liaising with the legal department for court actions and taking accounts into the litigation stage
To be considered for this position, you must have experience gained within a previous credit control role.
Additionally, as a Credit Controller you must have excellent organisational abilities coupled with strong interpersonal skills. Plenty of initiative and the capability to work well under pressure are key.
Whilst not essential, experience of working with Fact Flow or with invoice finance software would be a distinct advantage to your application.
Please note, the working hours for this role are three days per week.
