SF Group are currently recruiting for a part/ newly-qualified or finalist level Finance Business Partner to join one of our brilliant clients in Nottingham city centre.

The Company
My client is a growing not-for-profit organisation in Nottingham City Centre. They have grown significantly in previous years, culminating in an impressive turnover of £15 million in 2016/2017 with a target to grow to a turnover of £17 million in 2017/2018. Due to the development of one of their existing employees this role is now available to an external candidate who would like to take the next step in their career and become a Senior Finance Business Partner with this inspirational organisation. As the part-qualified Finance Business Partner, this is a key role in supporting the management of the companies finances and providing support across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial planning, management and reporting
  • Company accounts collation for the group of companies
  • Production of the consolidated monthly accounts
  • Financial year-end liaison and co-ordination of the close down processes
  • Management, maintenance and development of the financial system
  • Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and all third parties
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Ensuring accurate and accounting and governance for the organisation
  • Oversee and prepare the annual five year financial plans
  • Plan and monitor the cash flow and preparation of cashflow statements
  • Ensure timely submissions and consolidation of VAT returns

Candidate Criteria
You will be a part-qualified/finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) ideally with previous experience of working as a company accountant with exposure to financial and management accounts preparation for a multi site business, with a UK Head Office, alongside both finance and non-finance stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across the organisation and work closely with budget holders.
