Commercial Finance Analyst

Axon Moore are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to work for the pricing and promotions team of a leading retailer.

Working in the Commercial Finance Team, you will assist with the analysis that allows us to run efficiently, continue to innovate and further improve the service.

Reporting into the commercial finance business partner, you’ll partner with the category finance teams and commercial teams to lead and develop enhanced insight and data that will help to optimise business performance. Working collaboratively with the business, you will help improve scenario, forecasting and budgeting models, as well as applying new techniques to support process. 
 
Duties: 

• Build working business relationships with internal partners
• Provide critical insight for the business on trading performance
• Support the development of enhanced data insight that will inform commercial decisions
• Apply new techniques to improve scenario, budgeting and forecasting models, including external benchmarking
• Challenge decisions based on data and insight that you'll report on
• Identify and recommend potential improvements to help optimise the performance of the food business
• Provide technical and professional advice and guidance to managers 

Person Specification:

We are ideally looking for a Qualified accountant but will consider people who are QBE.
Experience of analysing complex data sets to review and report on
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data easily.
Experience of MI reporting
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Previous experience of working in a large retail organisation is advantageous.
