Treasury Analyst

Salary: £23k - £28k per annum
About the role:
- Perform day to day reconciliations of broker position. Including: Reconciling trade, positions and cash flows
- Resolve issues as they appear communicate issues to senior Treasury staff and escalate when necessary
- Monitoring and adjusting swaps and Libor rates
- Calculate and raise necessary client money and intercompany funds transfers
- Ensure the following tasks are complete on a daily / monthly basis: MT4 reconciliation plus maintain audit trade data file; Internal and External Client money reconciliation; Payment investigations
- Identifying and recommending Treasury system and process improvements to support business growth / diversification
- Working with the Treasury Operations Manager to ensure sound back office Treasury operations and providing cover as required
- Working with the Global Cash Manager to ensure sufficient intra-day liquidity and providing cover as required
- Working with Senior Treasury Analyst to ensure FX rolls are performed, client requests are dealt with and providing cover as required
- Communicating any matters to other Treasury team members as necessary
- Escalation of appropriate matters to the Finance Director
About you:
Essential Skills / Experience
- Finance or numerate based degree
- Prior experience of working on projects
- Advanced level Excel skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize a busy workload and to remain calm under pressure
- Conscientious and detail oriented
- Flexibility to respond to the pace and changing nature of the business
- Performance driven and results orientated with a strong bias for action and outcome
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal diplomatically with challenging stakeholders
- Responsible, self-motivated, pro-active & assertive
Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Corporate treasury or a recent graduate will be considered as long as the above skills can be demonstrated.
- Some knowledge or experience in some of the following would be extremely desirable:
- How financial markets operate broker business, CFDs. FCA requirements on liquidity and client money, derivatives and underlying financial product, reconciliation and cash management.
- Experience in and understanding of leveraged financial trading and swap products
- Understanding of FCA CASS rules and adhering to TCF guidelines
- Understanding of payment processing (CHAPS / SWIFT) preferred
