MERJE Ltd have been instructed to a recruit a high profile and career defining Group Financial Accountant for an award winning and highly acquisitive business based in Lancashire with plans for significant growth giving genuine opportunity for long-term career progression within a large corporate environment. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role would suit either a 1st or a 2nd time mover from top 10 firm looking for real scope and autonomy.
Key Group Financial Accountant Duties:
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial accounts and reconciliations under IFRS
- Prepare monthly management cash flow statements and working capital analysis
- Produce half year and full year annual report and accounts for Group including liaison with audit and tax advisors
- Produce subsidiary financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
- Provide technical accounting and reporting support for Group companies
- Assist in production of Group budgets and forecasts
- Prepare bank covenant reporting in line with Facilities Agreement
- Take ownership of Group policies and ensure that these are correctly followed by Group companies
- Develop and document internal control environment
- Internal auditing and balance sheet reviews of Group companies
- Acquisition integration of newly acquired companies
- Manage and review PLC monthly management accounts submissions and reconciliations
Profile of Group Financial Accountant
- Newly / Recently Qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) from a big 4 / top 10 firm, this role will also suit strong Financial Accountants in industry or 2nd time movers
- Technically proficient in statutory reporting including IFRS, UK GAAP and Group Consolidation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate with real confidence and flair across all levels whilst also influencing decisions with senior stakeholders
- You will be Driven and confident individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude
