Interim Assistant Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are currently recruiting for a nationally recognised food manufacturer. The business are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team on a 6-month contract. The business have an annual turnover of £475 million and are ideally looking for someone with large company experience.

The role will involve the following duties:
*Assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts up to trial balance
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Weekly variance analysis
*Liaising with non-finance staff
*Monitoring and forecasting spend against budgets
*Accruals and prepayments
*Developing financial systems and policies through IT system implementation and onwards
*Ad hoc reporting
*Purchase/Sales ledger

If you have any experience in a service sector business then please clearly detail this on your CV. Likewise, should you have had any exposure to Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL, pivot tables/vlookups/macros) then please make sure this is highlighted.
